Cagliari vs. Genoa

Genoa were leading twice at the Sant'Elia, but ended up without a point as Cagliari completed a stunning comeback.

It was crisis time for both sides, as Genoa lost two on the trot to Inter and Lille, conceding eight goals and failing to net any. Bosko Jankovic, Ricardo Faty, Houssine Kharja and Domenico Criscito were out of action, while the Sardinians only missed Pisano.

Genoa took the lead when a free kick outside the box was touched on for Mesto and in the wall Daniele Dessena stuck out a foot, but this only served to loop the ball over a helpless Federico Marchetti.

Cagliari thought they had equalised when Daniele Conti's free kick outside the area was a blockbuster that cannoned off the underside of the bar.

Ivan Juric limped off to make way for Spanish midfielder Alberto Zapater, but Cagliari pushed forward as Andrea Cossu's right-foot effort flashed across the face of goal.

The Sardinians finally equalised at the end of a truly chaotic move. First Agostini's shot was parried, then Jeda dribbled past two players for Dessena to hit the post and eventually Davide Biondini got the final touch. However, replays suggest Agostini was offside when it all started.

It didn't last long, as a terrible Diego Lopez clearance on the cross turned into an assist for Floccari just inside the box.

Cagliari were unlucky on a corner, as Astori's shot was heading to the bottom corner when it was accidentally kept out by teammate Alessandro Matri.

The referee pointed to the spot for a blatant Giuseppe Biava handling offence to block Cossu's shot from just inside the area. Moretti was sent off for dissent as he protested the decision, but Nene put the penalty in off the inside of the near post.

Incredibly, Cagliari turned it all around in the final minutes.

Matri was on the deck, but still managed to flick the ball on behind him for Lazzari to sweep into the net from 10 yards.
